Mike Gaffey – Chief Executive Officer

As CEO, Mike's primary focus is on the development of Gaffey + Associates's strategic direction. Well regarded in the healthcare finance industry, Mike is an expert and 30-year veteran in the utilization of technology to fulfill healthcare revenue cycle needs. After schooling in Computer Programming and Systems Analysis, Mike spent several years as a Programmer Analyst in the healthcare industry beginning in 1981; working closely with hospital Patient Accounting and IT departments. Mike also worked directly with hospital Patient Accounting departments as a Customer Support Programmer for Shared Medical Systems (SMS). In 1987, Mike founded Gaffey + Associates to provide custom computer programming to hospitals across the United States. Gaffey + Associates developed the first version of GEMS (Gaffey Electronic Media System), a DOS-based EDI medical claims processing application, and helped to pioneer the revenue cycle space with the automation of the claims management and billing process.

HunMi Pak – President

HunMi joined Gaffey + Associates as President to drive growth within the organization and drive the Company's strategic direction. All functional departments including sales, client delivery, and software development report directly to HunMi. Prior to Gaffey + Associates, HunMi was CEO of Fidelis Health, a software solution for large health insurance payers such as HealthNet and Universal Care, until its acquisition. Previous positions include President of RadixOne, a software and solutions company backed by The Sprout Group, and Vice President of Technology and Vice President of Strategy at the Howroyd Group ($1B parent of AppleOne and ActOne). HunMi earned his Bachelor's Degree from the University of California at Santa Barbara, where he was a Maurice Pigeon Memorial Scholar.

Khush Bodhan, CPA – Chief Financial Officer

Khush joined Gaffey + Associates as CFO to manage finance and administration operations at Gaffey + Associates. Prior to joining Gaffey + Associates, Khush spent over twenty years as a Vice President for Goodhill Properties and Consolidated Capital Companies, as well as several years in the London and San Francisco offices of Deloitte & Touche. Khush is a Certified Public Accountant operating ASK Accounting Consultancy for 19 years. Khush received a Bachelor of Commerce degree with Honors in Accounting and Auditing from the University of Mumbai in India, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Real Estate and Financial Planning from Golden Gate University, San Francisco.

Margaret Bistrovich – Senior Director, Client Delivery

Margaret joined Gaffey + Associates in April 2000. As head of Client Delivery, she oversees all client-facing activities and manages customer support, implementation, and business advisory services. Prior to Gaffey + Associates, Margaret managed the Patient Financial Services department for the Saint Francis Medical Center/St. Mary's Medical Center Central Business Office in Pennsylvania. Margaret has 20 years of experience within hospital Revenue Cycle operations.

Michael Brown – Director, Research and Development & Information Technology

Mike joined Gaffey + Associates in 2003 and is responsible for providing R&D and IT leadership. From 2000 through 2002, Mike served as Director of Technology for EXP Systems, a venture-backed start-up focused on providing fee-for-service expert networks for commerce internet sites. In this role, Mike was responsible for providing advanced R&D and e-commerce leadership. From 1994 to 2000, Mike served as highly-regarded consultant for companies such as Borland International, Hewlett-Packard, Johnson & Johnson, and On Command Video. Mike holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from California State University, Hayward.

Seth Masters – Director, Payer Services

Seth joined Gaffey + Associates in 1999 and manages all Payer Management and Industry and Regulatory changes for Gaffey + Associates. Seth has more than ten years experience successfully implementing healthcare industry changes, for all Gaffey + Associates customers with equal experience developing and managing Gaffey + Associates relationships with large, national government and commercial payers. Seth holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with Marketing Concentration from California State University, Sacramento and received his MBA from California State University, Hayward.
